I was given HUGE bag of onions that were getting ready to go bad. I saved some to plant, gave some away and kept as many fresh as I could. I ended up freezing a lot of it. I put them into ziploc freezer baggies, double bagged them and I still have onion stench. What can I do to neutralize the odor?

I hope you don't have an icemaker, your ice could end up reeking! There are various solutions here:

I just crumpled up a couple of newspapers and threw them in the freezer. I wasn't expecting much, but after a couple of hours the smell was pretty much gone! Nothing got ruined.
