I have tagged two great sounding recipes to make:
*Marinated Chicken Thighs With Tangy Apricot Glaze#413634 by NorthwestGal#227978 and
*Roasted Russet Slices With Sherry#480955 by Kerfuffle-Upon-Wincle#381180.
With the cold and flue I have been late in getting the selections and posting.(and on top of everything somehow I posted this on the calander page and can't remove) icon_redface.gif

The flu sue isn't any fun, mama smurf. I hope you are on the mend very soon. And I'll check with Susie to see if she can remove the tags on the Calendar page.

In the meantime, I'll get your tags listed on page 1. I hope you enjoy them both!

    Hey everyone,

so much about my being more active here throughout December... just wishful thinking as it turns out: I had to get a new laptop as my old one crashed and it took so long to get all my university data back that I fell seriously behind with my course work, which is not good now that my first state examination is coming up.
Then I thought I was done with technology problems, but as it turned out my new laptop could not connect to my wifi, so I didnt have internet on it and at uni they dont allow us to visit webpages like food.com. Sigh... icon_sad.gif
Finally I had all that sorted out last week and then I got sick and had to go to hospital, so no internet time for me again.

I am very sorry about all of this and I hope I am back for good now. Im looking forward to a great recipe filled January with you all! icon_smile.gif

So, what are you guys planning for this weekend? Are you looking forward to some me- or family time or are you facing a weekend of learning and chores (like me)? I definitely plan on spending the evening with some nice food to get my mind off of things. I am a big fan of polenta at the moment. Do any of you have a favourite recipe using that?

    Special Announcement! icon_smile.gif

We will have a cross forum tag event with the NAME forum in February as a fun addition to our regular tag routine. Id love to see you guys cross tagging and cooking away in this wonderful event. There are prizes, too! icon_wink.gif

Welcome to February’s Sun & Spice Event in the NA/ME Forum.

This event is a collaboration of the Vegetarian and the North Africa/Middle East Forums. We are so pleased to have you join us and we hope that you will have fun with the event and challenges that are offered during this month of play. You will be trying some very tasty foods from both of these forums.

Have no fear, there is no need to become strictly vegetarian for the month, the recipes that you choose for this event cannot contain any meat or meat products (including chicken or beef broth). Both cuisine's have sides, appetizers, desserts and beverages as well as main recipes that will qualify here.

To make this event easier for everyone, we have created two major cookbooks, one representing each forum that you can choose your tags from. You may also find recipe choices from outside of the cookbooks, if you prefer.

Please join us for some wonderful food, some optional fun and a good time in February.

Opening day is Friday February 1! SIGN UP TODAY! --> Sign Up Thread!
