We were getting ready for bed last night - Jar had elected to stay downstairs. I've noticed lately that he's WAY comfortable in his bed, and sometimes he just doesn't like to get up . He comes upstairs eventually.
Either that, or he's laying in wait for kitties.
Anyway, we were getting ready for bed when SUDDENLY the cat comes tearing into the bedroom, leaps onto the dresser and into the window behind the drapes. Growling.
Sure enough, here comes the dog, all excited, bounding up the stairs, and he starts sniffing around.
And of COURSE the IDiot CAT decides to play "hotter colder" with him- the closer he got to the window, the louder she growled.
Which got him even more excited.
Keeping in mind, of course, that she is BEHIND the draperies, so he can't actually SEE her. Only hear her, and, presumably smell her. I'm thinking the hate-scent was pretty strong.
Eventually, he settled down, right between the dresser and the bed - I assume because he knew she was there and was trying to cut off her avenue of escape.
However, when I was up during the night, I climbed OVER the dog (who was RIGHT up against the bed) and felt for Miss Growly-face, and she was gone.
My husband said that at some point, she'd leaped down off the dresser to the bed, clearing me, and landed on him. In the middle of the night, while he was sleeping.
Neither the dog nor I heard a thing.
