I remember him, well. He was a very nice man. I blatantly plagiarized his photo tutorial to post in Critter Cafe making just a few modifications to suit our pet forum.

    A little story about Chuck.

About 10 years ago (give or take 1/2 a year) Chuck instigated a very nice RAK for my daughter and I. I had just lost my job and home in Colorado and had to move to California to stay with my sister, Morti. It took me awhile to find a job and Christmas was looking pretty bleek for my little girl (she was 12 at the time). He took up a collection in secret and sent me a pretty nice monetary gift from all of Recipezaar. It was a wonderful surprise and my daughter had Christmas that year.

I know he also started a collection for someone's else. If I remember right, it was a woman whose husband was in the hospital in another country. I think he got burned on that one, but it wasn't his fault she turned out to be a lying attention seeker who eventually left zaar in shame. His generous heart was in the right place.

RIP Chuck. I will never forget you.

I'm not sure I had the pleasure of knowing Chuck, but any loss in our community is a sad time.

    My condolences.

I remember Chuck very well as he was not the kind of person you could forget. He was such a kind, helpful, generous, considerate, sharing and giving human being.

He loved the outdoors and I remember his neighbors had a small boy who he absolutely adored. He would always keep us apprised of his comings and goings.

Yes, there was a zaar member named Tahiti who was not who she claimed to be and was a flat out an imposter. Even though she took advantage of a lot of people here and especially Chuck, knowing what a good man he was I'm sure in the bottom of his heart he forgave her and held no ill will.

We lost a good man today, but please know that he will not be forgotten.

    RIP Chuck

OMG, I am sad to hear that Chuck had passed away. He was such a nice person, and he had a good heart, plus he sure had quite a sense of humour. I remember he posted some real funny jokes in the "Everything Else" (now known as the Community Cafe). Those jokes always brighten up my day! I always wished Chuck would return to the Community Cafe to brighten up everyone's day with his funny jokes, and to let us all know how he was doing. This is such sad news!

My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
