    It works. I boiled a pot of potatoes and placed a wooden utensil across the top and it never came close to boiling over.

    Fantastic trick. Whenever I make quinoa it ALWAYS boils over and I have a mess on the stove.

    I read it before too and promptly forgot. Would have been handy to remember last night so I wouldn't have had sticky potato water all over my stove. icon_rolleyes.gif
