The very thought of Italy conjures up many things especially their food. The wonderful aroma's that float out of restaurants and cafe's is enough to make you feel heady and the family kitchens where food seems to be constantly produced usually from scratch.
The wonderfully busy days when all the family and neighbours gather to bottle tomatoes with the sounds of laughter and raised voices then in the evening they celebrate the end of a good days work sharing a lovely array of food.
Italy has 20 regions, and each region has its own traditional food and wine. Italian food does not consist of only pizza and spaghetti, and the menu is as varied as the Italian regions. Italians use a variety of vegetables, such as tomatoes, eggplants, onions, garlic, peas, pepper in their cuisine.
