Are you in search of TOTM themes? How about:
dehydrating our own herbs and making herb blends
salt curing
soups/chili
herbs in jams/jellies
fast dinners or lunch at work ideas (canned items)

Making Soft Cheese at Home
Preserving Meat
are two more threads of interest-I will hunt around later this week to see if anything else is available.
I'd love to see something on "out of the ordinary" relishes. My DH's family are relish heads-LOL!

Ditto on the cheesemaking, we have found a local source of raw whole milk!

I'd love to learn more about low-sugar and low-salt canning.
Soups and stews would be good too.
Tomatoes!
Chutneys?

Lucky you Zeldaz! I'd love to find a source for raw milk. It's illegal where I live. But I live about 15 minutes to the border of another state where it's legal to buy/sell if it's going to farm animals. The nearest one is 3 hours away...just not feasible.

Milk that crosses state lines has to be pasteurized by federal law. Not sure if they'd send you to the hoosegow if they caught you, though.
