Prawn (Shrimp) and Lime Tartlets by I'mPat
Posting these here as I wanted to share a delicious party finger-food that I made today to help celebrate Australia Day. Perfect with a glass of wine
This recipe is not posted as a gluten-free recipe, but I thought it might be helpful to show how I adapted this recipe to be gluten-free suitable.
I have been able to purchase some gluten-free mini tart shells and wanted to find a good recipe to try them. If you cant purchase the tartlet shells, or have allergies that you need to bake your own- you could use mini-muffin tins to bake them in and a pastry recipe of your choice from here on the site ( I like to use this recipe Cream Cheese Pastry - Gluten Free -
Cream Cheese Pastry - Gluten Free #220039).
Then I bought a gluten-free aoli and added the lime juice and lime zest. Alternatively you could use a store bought gluten-free mayo or again, make your own.
Topped with prawns (that's shrimp in the US) and sprinkled with freshly ground sea-salt, pepper and some more lime zest to decorate.
For a party, you could have everything ready to assemble and quickly put them together when ready to serve
