Here in Australia we have a number of celebrity chefs who have not had formal training, most of these have come from Australian Master Chef and My Kitchen Rules and quite a few have their own cooking shows or feature on other shows as a guest cook/chef, most of these I find to be more practical than some trained chefs and I find they inspire me to cook and give it a go more but on the same level we have a few who have been formally trained and I find a lot of their recipes quite easy to follow though some I don't think I would attempt.

If you find THEM extreme....what is with this new face called Anne Burrell? My gosh, haven't even seen her show, and IF this isn't Elsa Lanchester from "The Broad"....ooops, "Bride of Frankenstein" what is?

Oh, but she's got a great sense of humor. Giada doesn't.

That's good to know. The last time I even bothered to watch Giada, I found her "celebrity" to be downright flat.

Anne Burrell is really funny, even if her hair does look like a dandelion gone to seed! icon_lol.gif

I have to agree, Anne Burrell has such an awesome personality and her recipes are easy to follow and arn't so off the wall. I'll admit her hair leaves a lot to be desired - but it's the thing that makes her stand out and I'm sure like Guy Ferrari it's just a signature for her show

I like The Hairy Bikers Chefs. I do follow the recipes of my favorite chef. The best thing about these chefs are that they make every dish presentable. Chocolate cookies recipe is my favorite recipe.
