Each year the Minnesota Knitters’ Guild has a day-long event called Yarnover held in the Twin Cities metro area. Prestigious local and national instructors teach a variety of courses and fiber vendors fill the Yarnover Market, which is free and open to the public.
Here is everything you need to know about the next Yarnover!
It will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
The 2013 Yarnover brochure is finally here! (link)
We also have an easier-to-download version (link) of the 2013 Yarnover brochure without pictures.
Registration begins on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 8am CST for anyone who joins or renews membership by December 31, 2012.
Participants
One of the chief benefits of belonging to the Minnesota Knitters' Guild is early registration for Yarnover classes! Early registration starts on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 8:00am CST for anyone who joins or renews their membership in the Guild before December 31st. Instructions for registration can be found at the bottom of this page. General registration (for members paid after December 31st and non-members) begins on January 26, 2013 at 8:00am CST. See the attached 2013 Yarnover brochure for more registration details.
Instructors
Instructors are invited to teach based on their class portfolios, current knitting trends and feedback from participants and the Yarnover committee. If you are interested in teaching at a future Yarnover or have a great suggestion for a teacher, please contact our current chairperson, Shelley Hermanson at spinteacher2000@yahoo.com.
Vendors, Door Prizes and Publicity
Starting in January, fiber-related vendors can register for Yarnover Market on a first-come, first-served basis according to vendor space available. If you are interested in being a Yarnover sponsor, vendor, donating door prizes or using this event to advertise your knitting related business, please contact our vendor coordinator, Sue Traczyk at sue_traczyk@yahoo.com.
