Our Minerva had always been an indoor-outdoor kitty until we got the dog. THEN I was afraid she'd run away and never come back - I could see her packing a little kitty hobo bag and trudging down the road saying "someday they';ll be sorry. .. "

So anyway, I made an executive decision to keep her inside. She actually adjusted fairly quickly - she was about 6 years old at the time.
She sneaks out every now and then in the summer (turns out we had a loose screen and she was squeezing out that way for a little while) but she never goes any farther than the back yard - she usually scoots under the deck for a while before she's ready to come back in. Just getting a little fresh (dog-free) air, I guess.

I know. He needs to stop growing. He is beginning to freak me out.

The vet says he is abnormal and weird huge but healthy.

She guesstimates his age from the development of his teeth.

Did the vet tell you that he'll get even bigger now that he's been neutered? Lol. He'll be huge!
I rescued a little yellow kitten when we were building our house and he lived there while the house was being built. He was neutered very early because he was hurt physically when I rescued him so I had him neutered while he was getting patched up. I went to the new house every day to feed him but the workers were sharing their lunches with him, too. He ended up being a gigantic cat.

He's gonna be a big boy. He is abnormally large even for a Maine Coon kitty.

Too bad so sad he is a stray and doesn't have pedigree registration papers. His kitty DNA would sire some big ass honking cats that Maine Coon breeders would love to have in the gene pool.

Plus... it's already too late for poor Tuna... his baby makers are history.

Does he have double paws? Growing up in Boston we often had cats that had double paws, which is a trademark of Maine Coon cats. I never see cats with double paws here in the South. I guess the ones we had when I was growing up had Maine Coon somewhere in the wood pile (gene pool)

My silly Tootsie (cat) has taken to sleeping indoors since the weather turned cold. She likes to sleep on top of me and either pat my face with her paw or lick my face. She is no light weight, either. I bapped her on the head the other night to make her stop. She got down off the bed in a huff but was back in a couple of hours, sleeping on my shoulder. This morning when I woke up I was nose to nose with her. I started scratching her head and the stinker actually drooled on me. Yuck! and double yuck.

My re-chargeable batteries are 10+ years old and no longer hold a charge. I'll replace them soon.

Need to read my camera manual and learn how to take wide angle photos. He is huge.

Yep @ K9... my wallet not only has dead moths inside but is covered in cobwebs because I rarely open it. I'm very frugal.

Yep @ Saralaya... It seems like he gains a pound every week. He's getting big and heavy and HAIRY. He's gonna be a long-haired cat beast. Oh, wonderful wonderful!
