    It probably did not get hot enough. We don't know how strong the microwave is that the contributor used. If your micro is not as strong, then the syrup did not get hot enough in the times shown.

    It would be best to use a candy thermometer when making this. Test it at intervals to make sure it gets to the 234 degrees that is needed for the patties to set up correctly.
