    Gluten Free Breakfast Idea's

    Sat Dec 08, 2012 2:50 am Groupie
DS has just sprung a Christmas Breakfast on me.
He and his GF are not going to be here for Christmas lunch, so why not give DM something else to do....rotfl.gif

It might be hot and he wants breakfast outdoors, so the B.B.Q. might just be the way to go for anything hot............... although if the weather is hot I would prefer something simple....... Any idea's for be greatly appreciated.
So far I have fruit salad....rotfl.gif

    wave.gif Hi Tis

My husband always cooks a barbie breakfast too. He always does bacon, eggs and tomatoes and serves them on English muffins. He calls them McPhill's brecky burgers icon_lol.gif

On that idea- the fillings are all gluten-free. You could either use gluten-free toast or you can buy gluten-free English muffins now from both Coles and Woolworths . They're a bit expensive at around $7 for 4. Not quite the same as a regular muffin but a good gf option.

We also make up a huge fruit platter with all our wonderful Christmas time fruits- watermelon, variety of stone fruits, berries, rockmelon, pineapple, lychees, cherries, grapes..........whatever looks good. We serve with greek yogurt. Aslo served with a good strong coffee....especially since my youngest wants everyone up around 5am to open Santa gifts

ANother option could be to do something on the barbie and serve with crepes. You can cheat and buy the Creative Gourmet frozen crepes as they age gluten-free.

If you have a Christmas will be gluten-free too (unless it has been glazed with something containing wheat or gluten)

I wonder if anyone else has other ideas?
