I know, right? It's a terrific way to utilize space!

I saw that on Pinterest a while back, and yeah, it's a great option when you have just a little bit of space. It's exactly what I had in our toy hauler travel trailer. If it was the perfect storage system while driving up into the mountains, it would be awesome in a home.
I'm not sure I could give up that space between my fridge and wall though. I mean, what would I do with all the grocery bags shoved back there?!

I just spotted this idea online: it's an inexpensive magazine organizer re-purposed as a can dispenser in the pantry.

No, THAT is BRILLIANT! I showed my husband and he insists we are heading out to Staples to look for something suitable. He dislikes my little stair-step shelf organizers.
It would have to be 4.5 inches wide to work for us.

My only concerns are you lose air flow for your frig which may in the long run cause it to overheat. Also the heat the motor gives off isnt good for storage. It would be too warm. I pull my frig out once a year to clean under and get the dust off the coils and boy it is warm.

No luck in finding them in a size I can use, the standard ones are only 3 inches wide! Going to have to find something online.

Oh, bummer!
Smart thinking to measure first.

I tracked down the original blog post here: http://www.pbjstories.com/2011/08/kitchen-pantry-reveal.html, and found that Pamela has updated the post since the idea has found a following on Pinterest.
She notes: "UPDATED: Due to a years worth of inquiries I want to point out again, that this a magazine holder I originally purchased from HomeGoods. However, these cans are not traditional size, they are the "little" cans that are about half the size of regular cans. I have seen wider magazine holders at various stores but I am not certain they would fit traditional cans either."

We had to give up and I ordered some FIFO heavy duty can dispensers from a Mormon (I believe) site. Waiting for delivery. Will report, but way more money than I anticipated.
