Zoey was awesome at the parade

Our Cooper Dog Park had a float (BTW - got first place in the non-profit category) in the Christmas Parade and a bunch of us walked our dogs behind the float handing out candy. I was a little concerned how she would react to all the noise and the crowd. Zoey was a little nervous at first as there was a lot of standing around waiting for the parade to start. (We were in the sixth row.The first floats were coming back by the time we started.) She would be brave for a little while and then want held for a few minutes and then want down again to "visit" the other dogs. During the parade I would hand out candy and of course the little kids wanted to pet her. She was fine. We had to almost run to catch up with the float and she kept up great - didn't want picked up at all. That night and the next day though, she was one tired little puppy. There was a huge, beautiful black Bermese Mountain Dog on the float. You could hear people say look at that big dog and then in the next instance, look at that little dog (Zoey was the smallest one there.) Anyway, I was really proud of her.

    Yay Zoey!

I'd love to be able to participate in multiple people and dog activities. . . someday. icon_wink.gif Sounds like a lot of fun!

And, of course, my mantra is "a tired dog is a happy dog!" icon_lol.gif

Thanks Saralaya. I was afraid Zoey would be so afraid I'd have to take her home, but she did great. The credit for the float goes to the lady who designed it. I just followed directions.
