I don't mean to sound mean at all, but why not find a recipe that doesn't have flax seed? Anyway......I found this information for you......
In some recipes, the use of ground flaxseed is used as a flavor enhancer. Recipes that call for fat, i.e., butter or oil, and no eggs, will just require an increase of oil to replace the ground flaxseed. In recipes calling for eggs and fats, the addition of an extra egg will work. For recipes in which the ground flaxseed is a flavor enhancer, there are a number of ways to do the substitution. In some recipes, especially those calling for a tablespoon or less oil, you have to experiment to find the "right" replacement.

It all depends upon the specific recipe and the reason it includes flax seeds. Recipe number?
