Crafty Lady (Gloria), thank you so much for my card and my goodies. Apparently my package was being held at my neighbors she had her mail held and I guess they decided my package was hers
So today she calls me to come over for a quick moment and I keep putting it off because I had a lot of errands to do. Well, I had one of those days that made me want to scream but no more because I got a very cool card that Gloria made and some toe socks that made me chuckle (I wore them in high school, good memories) Santa dish towel and sugar cookie lip gloss. Gloria, you shouldn't have but I have to be honest right now you made my day turn around and I hope you know I wish I could hug you right now

A short story ...
So bear with me.
When I grew up, Mom always taught me to give from the heart. We did stained glass, I did macrame (big in the 70's), ceramics, clay pottery, homemade candy, cookies, soups, spices, jams, jellies, also ornaments, etc. These are items we gave to our friends. I couldn't go through Xmas without giving gifts ... that is just who I am. But that is also how I was raised. NOT right or wrong, but just a tradition that my Mom did and passed on to me.
I continue that today; but that is how I grew up. My friend grew up and she was always one to share recipes; that is what her Mom did for Christmas. Every card whether it Xmas or not got a special recipe. Another friend always gave gift certificates because her family owned a restaurant. And, some, just a simple card of Holiday Greetings.
So, it doesn't matter what one gives ... it is the thought that counts; and the thought that goes behind finding the card which conveys how you feel about the holidays. Simply the spirit of Christmas giving and sharing.
WHAT a beautiful story to share TWINIE!! With a tear in my eye too!
WHOO HOO and thank you for simply being YOU!

You can see the top part of the card is clear with the cute little white snowflakes. I took 3 others pics; but someone forgot to charge the battery, so this was the only one that came out.

Good morning everyone!
Special cookies you have to make every year?
I have a few cookie recipes I am testing today. I'm hosting a cookie swap for our street and am having a hard time figuring out what to make. Haven't done this in years but it's always fun
And cookies, what a bonus

Thanks g/f. A perfect holiday card and gift! Already hanging on my Christmas Ribbon.
Pic to follow, promise, kim
You are welcome, Kim ! I was having issues with "getting out", due to vision -- so could just do VERY small thoughts ! Now I fall asleep reading DH's Kindle, and haven't found a "bookmark" to fit !!!
