Meemo's Kitchen Blog....GONE!?!?!

Wasn't sure where to post this subject but I thought I would start here. I'm hoping that there are some other cooks that follow this person's blog and might know something.

I follow a blog called Meemo's Kitchen. She posted restaurant copycat recipes. Her site was AMAZING!! Recently she took a break posting recipes and now when I go to her blog it has been removed! ALL of her hard work is GONE! Not sure if she took it down, or what happened. I wanted to see if ANYONE knows any information about where here blog might have gone, or what is going on with it or her. I have followed her for many, many years and find this upsetting. Her blog was one of the best ones out there! Any information would be helpful. I have done many searches on the internet and I thought I would try to see if anyone on this site followed her, or knows anything. If this is not the right place to post this please let me know where would be best. Thanks for any help you can give me!

All I can think is, that she got tired of keeping up her blog and deleted it.

I confess that I also started foodblogs with great enthusiasm, but found it very hard to keep up!! You need so much time per day or per week ...

I so admire some food bloggers -- they do keep it up. From experience I know it takes a LOT of time and a LOT of dedication.

Maybe something in her personal life made her close her blog. It's possible.

Thanks! I'm sure that is the issue. She did mention that she needed to take a break a while back. But can't you have a blog, and just post whenever you want??? Does it cost money to keep up a blog? I know nothing about blogs. I would love to have a cooking one, but I know I don't have the time for it. But it seems that if it doesn't cost money, the person can just leave everything in place for people and just post when they get time. She had a TON of copycat recipes and pictures. I have looked at other copycat sites and I think hers was the best out there!! It does say that her site is NOT available, so I am hoping that she still has it and puts it back up.

She may have switched from blogspot to a different host. I've seen many blogs I follow do that recently.

Yes, it does cost money to keep a blog.

So happy to have some information regarding Meemo's Kitchen blog!
I tried to look up a recipe I had bookmarked and found the blog gone.
I had so many of her recipes bookmarked on my iPad. I agree that her recipes were the best, and I am sad to have lost them all. I'm sadder still to hear she has been unwell, and wish her to have a full recovery.

I too was sad to find Meemo's Kitchen gone. I threw out my favorite Banana cake recipe after I spilled water on it because I figured I would print a new one. I hope she feels better fast. If anyone has the Wite house banana bunt cake recipe, i would love to get it from you!

A good point if you come across a recipe and especially in a blog save it here even as a private recipe so then you will have a copy,

Specialkae, it costs nothing to set up a blog with Wordpress or Blogspot.

Just Google either of those two websites.

To set up your own, separate, self-owned website will cost you money, though.

I hear people prefer Wordpress these days. Not sure what the difference between them is.

I was soo disspointed to find out that Meemo's blog was gone I just can't believe it.
Does anyone have her recipe for Strawberry Cream Cheese pound cake? I loved that cake and just can't remember how to make it. I had it saved to my favorites on my ipad. I almost cried when I realized it was gone

If anyone has her recipe for Olive Garden's Black Tie Mousse Cake please give it to me. I book marked it after searching for days for a good one and made it for my husband's birthday last year. Her recipe was spot on, no one else's even is close. It was AMAZING. I saw her sight was gone too so I used "the real" black tie mouse cake recipe on this site and it definately was a not it. It was good, but not Meemoskitchen's recipe for black tie mousse cake. I am desperate for it and if I get my hands on it again I'm writing it down. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
