Mailed my cards yesterday -- shouldn't take long, both are in the States !
Also received one -- from Sarasota Cook ! A neat little card, a lovely letter, and a cookie cutter ornament !! Thanks so much - I truly loved your note. Very best wishes for a happy holiday season -- we haven't had snow YET -- but always that possibility !!

Just received a wonderful card from my Swap Buddy - frugalfifer, Angela. A beautiful handmade card as well as a wonderful special recipe. Already up on the wall to join my other cards. Mickey Down Under was my first card, and you are the second ... so my card display will be growing. Thanks for a delightful card! Beautifully done. I wish my pic would of been better.

Phooey, forgot to say my cards have been sent. Have been running around so much lately, my parents were just in town, wouldn't know where my head was if it was attached
Now I've decided to put together a cookie swap with a few friends. No whining here though, I LOVE to be busy...
Have a great day everyone!

'SWAP' is sharing. So share what you want.
A short story ...
So bear with me.
When I grew up, Mom always taught me to give from the heart. We did stained glass, I did macrame (big in the 70's), ceramics, clay pottery, homemade candy, cookies, soups, spices, jams, jellies, also ornaments, etc. These are items we gave to our friends. I couldn't go through Xmas without giving gifts ... that is just who I am. But that is also how I was raised. NOT right or wrong, but just a tradition that my Mom did and passed on to me.
I continue that today; but that is how I grew up. My friend grew up and she was always one to share recipes; that is what her Mom did for Christmas. Every card whether it Xmas or not got a special recipe. Another friend always gave gift certificates because her family owned a restaurant. And, some, just a simple card of Holiday Greetings.
So, it doesn't matter what one gives ... it is the thought that counts; and the thought that goes behind finding the card which conveys how you feel about the holidays. Simply the spirit of Christmas giving and sharing.

I'm starting to get a little worried. I mailed my packages 8 days ago. The 2 packages that were mailed to states in the U.S. should have gotten there by now. I hope they arrive soon. I can understand packages going out of the U.S. taking longer. It's fun seeing the photos of the cards that were sent.

I totally agree. I couldn't resist putting a few little tokens of Christmas spirit in with my card, but I know it isn't required. I'm just happy to get a card from someplace new and makng new friends.
