Cranberries are small but have a lot of Vitamin C and fiber in them. They can be eaten fresh or dried and drank as cranberry juice. Dried cranberries are especially good because they have the same nutrition as fresh but they are easier to keep around. They are also not always in season.

Dried cranberries are a wonderful source of proanthocyanidins, which is also called tannins. These keep some bacteria like Escherichia coli from attaching to the urinary wall. When a person has urinary problems they frequently drink cranberry juice as part of the cure.

Another flavniod in cranberries, myricetin , helps fight prostate cancer and other cancers.

If you have any cranberry recipe, and you want to post them, please do.
