I would like to delete a recipe saved to my main cookbook. I have a lot of recipes in there so I entered a part of the name to narrow the list. However, on the narrowed list displayed, there is no "select" option for any of the recipes listed. The "select" option is there if I have the full cookbook displayed but not if I narrow the selection.
How am I to delete the recipe? It is not reasonable for me to go page by page through this cookbook to find the recipe.

I don't know of any other way to do it. I've got a ton of recipes in my main cookbook too. I've been going through and transferring recipes to new cookbooks and then going through page by page and being able to delete at least several from each page. Others I just delete outright. For example. I selected soup, then put all of the recipes I was still interested in into a Soups to Try cookbook. Then when I went back, I knew I could delete any soup recipes on a page. Winnows it down a bit, but I agree, it is a bit of a chore.

It is such a ridiculous, user-unfriendly way to have to delete recipes. It is a major functionality deficit, especially when one used to be able to do that.
Someone needs to fix the programming to display and use that field when the display is sliced & diced.

Yes it is and shouldn't be that way. I have reported to see if we can get that fixed.

So turns out, the reason for this is that searching in the set actually drives users to the main search experience — it's not just a filter on the cookbook search page.

That is bad design.
When I want to search my cookbook, I want to search only that set and derive a subset. It shouldn't go to the whole database. Then, I likely want to do something with that subset. Not allowing to manipulate the subset is a deficiency.

It's still returning a subset of the cookbook's recipes, but it's just doing it in the main search results format.
We appreciate your feedback and will make a note of this as future enhancement request.

From your cookbook, there will be grey select button under each recipe where you can click to checkmark it. Then you scroll to the bottom of the page to remove.
