Are you asking about this recipe? There are eggs, sugar, cream cheese, sour cream in this recipe. No Cool Whip. It's a fairly standard recipe, and it has 38 reviews.

What you are missing is the difference between a baked, aka "real" cheesecake (like the one you linked to above) and a "No-bake" cheesecake/cheese pie (basically cream cheese and cool whip).

The following link is for the No-bake cheesecake recipes in our database.

Ah, Dee, thanks - that did not occur to me, probably because I've never made one of those!

    No problem icon_wink.gif
I don't like them, and I probably haven't made one in 25+ years.....not since my kids were little and would tell me at breakfast that they needed to bring in a "treat" that day for a class party. I would run out to buy a container of cool whip (I don't normally use that stuff), stick vanilla wafer cookies in the bottom of cupcake liners, fill them half full with a mix of cream cheese and cool whip, and chill them until lunch/party time, then top them with a spoonful of cherry pie filling, and drop them off at school. The kids and teachers seemed to like them just fine.....certainly an acceptable last minute dessert/treat. icon_wink.gif

Sorry I'm just getting back. Thanks for the link. I tried this at a friends house on thanksgiving and my daughter loved it. I just couldn't believe it was so simple to make. Thanks again and happy holidays.
