Got a new toy in the mail yesterday and can hardly wait to put it to the test today (internal batteries are still charging). For those who are scratching their head, it's a Yaesu FT-817ND ham radio transceiver, antenna tuner and sound card interface. What makes it unique is that it's an all mode radio that transmits from 1/2 watt up to a maximum of 5 watts, and cover the HF bands 160-10, 6m, VHF & UHF all in one tiny package. Those who know about amateur radio can appreciate this little package, and those that don't, I'll bake you a loaf of Polish Sourdough Rye bread for your time looking.

Wow what a difference in color richness! The daylight bulb is a real enhancement to the over all feel.
