My sister and I are hosting a baby shower in a few weeks. We will be serving food from Great Britain. I have most of my recipes, but I still am lacking one that I can't find
and verify as being authentic.
I am looking for a sausage ball-type recipe. I've seen where sometimes sausages have pretzel sticks stuck into them, but I'm not sure that is authentic. Is there a dish in Great Britain that would be similar to American sausage balls? Here, we would make something like this (
Make-Ahead Bisquick Sausage Ball Appetizers) and call it sausage balls.
Is there another dish like one of these you would serve? Is the recipe I found with sausage on a pretzel stick authentic?
I should mention that my mother has Coeliac disease, so we're making every dish gluten-free to avoid cross-contamination of the food. I can buy premade gluten-free bread, pretzels and the like at the local grocery store, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
