Looks good. Perhaps a bit thicker than I remember...but still good. I think hers had less gravy and more dumplings. I will definitely try this recipe when I completely recover from the tooth extraction I had late Thursday. Still a bit sore and so I'm not quite in the mood for such an involved recipe. It will be interesting making it in my living room on a TV tray!
thanks a lot!

OMG Red, I want some, that looks soooo good and specially with this weather we're having now. Bob would absolutly go crazy for that. So don't forget "my" bowl.
Pat, hope you're feeling better soon, just thinking of a tooth extraction sends chills through me.

It sure looks good to me Red, what's the problem with it? The name, is that a type of bread or a method?

There's nothing wrong with the bread; it tastes good, has good oven spring.... The problem I have is consistency in crumb. Sometimes it's a holey crumb and other times it's not. I just can't predict what the outcome will be.

Red Personally, I don't fret over the "holiness"' of the bread. If it rises it gets baked and eaten. Unless you are baking for a "holy" competition, don't beat yourself up over something that really is cosmetic, and nothing else. IMHO

Good points, JoeV. It's just something else (besides women) I can't understand.

The bread and rolls look great Red. I just made some honey whole wheat bread and rolls for Thanksgiving dinner and for the leftover sandwiches. Oh, and a pie also.
Were the rolls good? A picture says it all...

I made a double batch of Date Squares last night. Been craving them lately, so I thought I would indulge.
