I will probably get slammed by some people, but I have to tell you that no matter what else I make, if I don't have the old fashioned comfort food classic "Green Bean Casserole" (the one on the back of cans of green beans or those french fried onions), adults and kids alike complain.

If you don't like that then other favs are:

Thank you all ! I love veggies and too me, I prefer the sides over turkey.

On Friday i make my own T-Day dinner - with mashed parnips and potatoes, brussels and butternut ! I mght have to add a few of these great suggestions.

its now even more complicated because we are seeing another realtive in the AM, T- Day for us is at 1:00.

I will have to cook on Wednesday night and then pack in a cooler and reheat on T-Day.

I am definitely bringing a salad - I have a medical reason to restrict carbs - so a nice fresh salad will work for me.

I am going to make my grandmothers green beans and spaetzle and quicly finish it in a skillet on T-day.

Thanks so much for the great suggestions.
