    Authentic Italian Tomato Sauce
I'm a little confused. The printed recipe says 2 cloves of garlic and then says 6 cloves with no other description. Is there an ingredient missing? I would appreciate clarification.

Cloves are a spice. They can be purchased whole or ground. Here you would use the whole cloves , 6 of them.

The recipe is corrected as posted and as printed out.
The first ingredient is for 2 cloves of garlic. The second ingredient is for "whole cloves" (like you would use to stud a baked ham).

The 6 cloves means "spice cloves":

Go to the ingredients list where it says:
6 cloves and click the word: "cloves" which is printed in blue color and it will give you the information about "spice cloves" in the Food Kitchen Dictionary:
