G'day! Is food related As will be making an application to become a Bulla Cream Team Ambassador. I have filmed the video today and am looking for someone local to help re editing

Mp4, Avi or Mov Max format file size 50 MB

Good luck Mickey . I'm not really all that good with video but if you get stuck for someone in Adelaide I could send some instructions on how you'd be able to transfer it to me and take a quick look over it. I'd certainly be able to re-encode it OK and perform some basic editing.

Do you know what format your camera has taken the video in and how large it is?

Gday and big thanks Peter J GREATLY appreciate the help. ...um, am off to see what format the camera took the video in...

Currently I believe it to be 66MB but file size is only 50

Used a Sony Handycam....dcr ss43
Says file is Movie Clip (.MPG)

I downloaded the videos 8 segments onto a file in Media Player

ok, two questions. Is there an easy way on Media Player to change the format from MPG to Mp4, avi, mov max

are any of those formats better than the other

ok, re clip and snip....kind of know the editing ie if you don't want this clip it here, snip it here...but in Media Player , don't currently know how to do....

am sure it is easy...

didn't realize editing is such a specialty thing to know...at least it is a learning curve and anything food related I have the passion to learn to do

Hi Mickey, those file formats are all what they call "containers" that just hold information about the video so don't affect the quality as such but I'd stick with MP4 because it's a bit more generic and works with more computers and software.

I don't think Windows Media Player will let you do that but take a look for Windows Movie Maker. I think it's installed in Windows 7 by default but if you don't have it you can download here:

It's fairly easy to use and lets you do basic editing and adding titles to the start and end etc. You can include still photos as well, so you could fade in and out a few recipe photos for example.
