I think the fried chicken would be what convinces my DH that this little gadgie would be a good buy also. I wouldn't mind some good ole' fried chicken either.

I tried my first meal in the Superwave that I bought at Costco for a great price I think. Naturally it was air-fried chciken since I'm sure we all love fried chicken but hate that it must be cooked in oil (preferably lard, I'm from the South). While it was not your all over crunchy typical fried chicken, it was good. Sort of like baked chicken with crumbly crust ( I used panko, dipped in guttermilk/egg wash first). The machine worked as stated, but it did take longer to cook than stated and even longer than it would have taken to fry it. But the benefits outway the increased time. There was a convience factor and an easy clean up factor without grease splattered everywhere. My chicken pieces (legs and wings) were fat pieces. I placed the wings on the top rack, and legs on the bottom. Cooked at 375 for about 25 minutes, then switched the racks and turned them over so fat legs were on the top, cooked for another 30 minutes and then tested with a meat thermometer. They were juicy, crusty and good.
Plan on using often.

I have just discovered the Super wave oven (took me long enough!) First go was a roads beef - very nice.
But can anyone direct me to ONLINE recipes specifially for this appliance? All my attempts lead to buying a recipe book - but I have not decided yet whether I love this new toy!

I purchased my super wave oven in Febraury at Costco and I have cooked seasoned pototoes, eggs sunnyside up, and warmed pizza. I purchased this unit because I moved out of a large home and into a fith wheel travel trailer and the oven in the trailer is not that large. I no longer wished to use a microwave oven. I mostly cook on the gas range top but recently ran out of propane and sat for a while wondering what to do since my income is recently challenged.

While the super wave oven is rather large for my space it is easy to use, clean up and store. I take care with the hot lid when I am removing it to stir, or turn, flip or exchange items for cooking, I always unplug the lid and set it aside on a folded bath towel to protect both surface and glass lid from contrast of heat and cold.

The very first thing I did was read the instructions and rehearse the information on how to use the power on and power off set up. That is so important to understand that fact of this item, so as to not damage you, your food or the unit.

I have used aluminum foil, oven proof dinner plate and aluminum baking pans in this unit and without mishap.

Finding items that fit the unit is what my quest was. I also baked cheesey biscuits using single foil and paper lined baking cups. They came out great.

Using the racks criss-crossed is probably so stuff doesnt fall through. I have done this and it works on. Both racks under the food! A bit of an angle, but that is no biggie.

Happy cooking - I am trying fish tonight. I too would love a recipe book!

Don't hold your breath. Someone said earlier that there were not enough instructions in the one and only cookbook for the superwave that seems to be in existence. Trial and error I my only recourse.

Where did you get your book? Do you like it? Are the recipes for "everyday" people or fancy foods that no one seems to be able to find ingredients for? I love my cooker but I am frustrated by the lack of available recipes. Thanks

My hubby bought us one about 1 month ago. I love it!
It's fast, easy clean up and the best part is, the heat stays inside and not in the house!!
But, I too am wondering a few things, like when cooking pot pies do you remove the paper bowl it is in or leave it? LOL I have done it already but I left the paper on it and it did not cook as fast as said..Soooo any thought would be gr8.
