    I do not like this

This is something I do not like or want, and I resent its taking up so much space. I understand that some people do like and want this, but why can't I have the option to eliminate or at least close this? It's a waste and a hassle for me.

It's too bad you feel that way, Choccie. Maybe its something that will grow on you.

It's going to happen and I for one am thrilled that they're letting us beta test it to work out kinks before it goes live instead of trying to fix something already in place.

That said, I think you might be on to something. Perhaps they can include an opt-out link feature for the folks that feel the same way you do.

The last thing they said would "grow on me" was the new toolbar, and the more I see of it, the more I HATE it!!!!

Chocolatl, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear you are against the new meal planner and the new toolbar hasn't grown on you. Unfortunately, there is not a way to opt out of either. I wish you would at least give the meal planner a chance and use this as an opportunity to tell us what you like and don't like in this beta stage. If you don't want to use it, you don't have to.

Confused- this is a beta test? Was I asked to beta test this program? No, it was put on my screen and, while has great potential, is soooo NOT user friendly that all it does is frustrate me and waste my time. I am not a beta tester- I am not a paid employee of Food.com--- How about get the sifter to work and put that back before trying new items? The sifter was great- but obviously wasn't pulling in enough endorsements from food corporations to make it worth y'alls while. Please remove the meal planner from my screen and don't put it back until it actually works.
