Excellent Yam and Apple Casserole Can this recipe be modified for the slow cooker?

To make the recipe you asked about, I would reduce the apple juice by half - the slow cooker conserves liquid and so you don't get the evaporation you would normally get in the oven. Three hours on low sounds about right. I would not precook the yams . They will cook in the three hours.

Thank you. I'll give it a try and let you know how it turns out.

The casserole turned out very nice. I had to turn up the slow cooker to high after the 2nd hour because the yams were still hard. After the 2 hours on low and the 3rd hour on high - they were perfect. I found though that there could have been more juice so perhaps next time I won't reduce the juice by half. Especially for when I heat it up the leftovers icon_smile.gif. Thank you for your help.
