A few years ago, well actually more like ten years ago we bought a stuffed Oriole and a stuffed Yellow Finch at a National Park. When you squeezed them, they cheeped like the birds. I got tired of them sitting around so after checking to see if I could pull the tails, wings and beaks off gave them to Zoey. She is always chasing birds outside. She loves them. The Oriole doesn't make a sound anymore, but the Finch does. She just goes nuts trying to kill it.

That sounds like most of Jar's stuff - the first thing he always does is kill the squeakers! icon_lol.gif

I haven't decided whether they like the squeakers or hate them and that is why they try to get rid of them. Kate used to chew the squeakers out of some of the toys.

Yes! Most of Jar's former squeaky toys all have holes where the squeaker used to be!

Then there are the toys with the squeaker integrated - like the infamous Rubber Chicken. That one, he bit the nose and the toes off, so there's no air for the squeaker to squeak. icon_rolleyes.gif

Kris that's so funny that he knew to bite the nose and toes off. You have one smart dog.

    Sounds very familiar! icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif
We have ducks with no quackers, the squeak from just about everything has gone. Most, thankfully I removed just prior to ingestion. Dawson doesn't care about squeaks but Maddie has a ton of terrier in her and they speak to her. "Kill me! Kill me!" She does. icon_rolleyes.gif

The only thing that has lived here intact is that stupid rubber chiicken. squawk, squawk, squawk. Sigh.

Zoey is a terrier and will be looking at them as prey. icon_smile.gif She knows she has 'killed it' when it no longer squeaks. Kind of like if they had a hold of a mouse. No noise = dead mouse.

I laugh when my neighbours 7 lb poodle 'attacks' things in the yard. He thinks he is a warrior! icon_cool.gif
