Vintage Cuisinart processor DLC-8e Yard sale find. Anyone?

Got this one a few years ago, it's been in storage. Either I don't know what the heck I'm doing or it's broken. I can get the bowl to click into place but the lid with the tube like opening just won't go. It seems like the tab thing on the back side of the lid won't go where it supposed to be. It looks like it's too long to make the pass. I am thinking that maybe the lid goes to another model or something. It's buyer beware at a yard sale. People will do anything to pass their junk to someone else and collect a little dough in the process. Does anyone have one of these? I think most of them, no matter the age, work pretty much the same.

    Hi Missie!
I'm sure we'll be able to figure out the problem. Let's get started by visually identifying which one you have. icon_smile.gif

This is the older model DLC8, which I'm expecting is the one you have.

Now, let's find out which bowl or lid you have and if it's the right one for the model.
