    Casserole recipies WITHOUT cheese?

I am going to begin to cook ahead and store suppers for weeknights. I've been wanting to do this for a while, but have had several false starts.

I would love to try some freezer-friendly casseroles, but everything I find has a mix of meat and milk.

I've looked at freezer recipes and at Once-A-Month-Cooking (OAMC).
Would anyone in this forum have a suggestion for me?

Oh -- I know that there are some lovely bean or grain-based dishes that include cheese or cream. However, my husband does not eat cheese at all, so that's a further restriction.

Thank you for any help you have to offer!

Hi Kimber and welcome to the forum! We are a small group here but people do come by. As for the casserole recipes you are looking for, I wonder if you have seen the Vegetarian/Vegan Forum? For grain based dishes without dairy, the Vegan recipes would be a great resource for you, There are some very experienced vegans active in that forum. You can find it here: http://www.food.com/bb/viewforum.zsp?f=43

You could post there asking the same question you are asking here. When I am looking for meat- free recipes that still have a good protein source I check into this forum. I wish you an easy fast and a Happy, healthy year for you and your family.
