    If the Jetsons had houseplants...

DH found a plant I might finally be able to keep alive! Sure, it waters and feeds itself, but that's about the only way I can grow anything. icon_lol.gif

A company called Click and Grow has invented what I call the Jetson's houseplant system. Put in the batteries and the pot does the rest. I'd like to test it out with the fresh basil. icon_biggrin.gif

That looks so cool Tink, I'm off to check it out. Strange as it seems I can NOT find basil over here even dried. Finally found a jar of dried in a gourmet store and paid $12 for it - if I could grow it what a savings!!

    12 bucks?! icon_eek.gif
I would definitely buy the gadget, grow and dry my own if I were you.
I think you can get thyme in the Click and Grow thing too.
I've dried both herbs myself with brown paper bags and some string. And they taste so much better than store bought. I really need to do it ALL the time, instead of just occasionally.

I have the big Aerogarden at home and love it but thinking this might be smaller and able to get over here, or pick up when I go home and carry back in my suitcase

I forgot you had the AeroGarden! How do you like it?

The click and grow might be small enough to transport easily, but I don't know if I would want to buy it on top of the big, multi-functional AeroGarden. icon_confused.gif

I LOVE the Aerogarden, have done herbs, peppers and even tomatoes in it so far - right now while I'm gone it's in foster care with my grandson - so hoping I still get it back when I return.

I'm thinking this one might be good to have over here.

Must be what goes thru my mom's head whenever she "loans" me gadgets anymore. LOL icon_wink.gif
