This is a swap for Regional Cookbooks. It should be cookbooks from YOUR region. Either collections of local cuisine recipes, or cookbooks put out by local groups. They can be new or GENTLY used. It is your option to include non-cookbook regional items, but that is not required. After you are assigned a partner, communicate with them through zmail here at Food.com, (or exchange e-mail addresses) and get to “know” each other a bit to get an idea on what to include.

A note on postage in the U.S.: You can use MEDIA MAIL rates if you are including books only. No magazines or other printed material with ADS! And if you want to include non-book items, it should be cheaper to send two packages-one with books at Media rates and the other items at Parcel Post rates. If you include EVERYTHING at Parcel Post rates, the books will add a lot to the weight. You also have to choice of Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes, but they are much more expensive than the Media Mail rates.

To not exclude anyone, international swappers are welcome to participate, and anyone who agrees to swap internationally must be prepared for the price of shipping and the length of time it takes for the packages to be sent and received.
And be sure to check what can’t be sent through the mails to other countries and to check customs rules.

We are setting a budget of $25.00 excluding postage. If you do choose to go over the budget, it will be your choice, and is completely optional. Please don’t expect your partner to go over budget.

You will be sent a questionnaire after you sign up. Please answer the questions and send reply to CoffeeB. If you fail to return questionnaire, you will not be assigned a partner.

After signing up, all participants will be required to post in this thread for the following:

1) You answered the questionnaire
2) Contacted your partner
3) Sent your package
4) Received your partner’s package


Please read the rules and policies of swapping, and make sure you understand them before deciding to sign up.

And yes, there will be a banner for your about me page, sent via z-mail when swap is ended.
