Yes, I really did this on the grill.

Butter NO EGG noodles, Swedish Meatballs (made with turkey) with a sour cream sauce and chives. Normally would of done parsley, but I just replanted. And also, normally lingonberry on the side, but I was out and - I thought I had some. Regardless, pretty good.

Roasted green beans with just olive oil, and with a simple NO salt all purpose seasoning. Tasty and easy.

I made the meatballs and then froze them for about 30 minutes just to firm up. Then cooked them in a mix of beef and chicken broth; and a minced onion in the pan. About 30 minutes, the sauce reduced and intensified in flavor too. Added a little corn starch to thicken, removed from the heat and then stirred in the sour cream. They ;turned out really moist.

It was warm, but a nice breeze last night, and I enjoy cooking on the grill.

Thx CSW, It was late, I wasn't sure how it would turn out. I was so mad I was out of lingonberry or even cranberry. But oh well, still good.

Hey Kim, you really are great at grilling! And the photos are so good -- love the meatball close-up! Everything looks delicious!

What kind of grill do you use? Is it easy for you to set up? There are so many different ways of grilling in this world ... And so many different grill designs.

You make it all look so easy, but it probably is not. icon_wink.gif

I have 2 grills, and 2 smokers. My big one which is a friends house; because when I use that it is an all day smoker with wood and it is huge. I only use that for BIG tings and long smoking and he has a huge backyard.

My mini smoker or stand up I use all the time; and my grills; 1 weber kettle and the other just a propane. I use them both. For quick cooking, I use the propane, is roasting a chicken (like my beer can) or tri tip, pork loin, etc. I use the charcoal. Otherwise, I use the propane for convenience.

This was propane. I often use my wood chip box to give it extra flavor. And, it is just so nice sitting on the porch with a cold beverage cooking. Relaxing.

But thx, it was easy and tasty. The grill is really just like an oven. Even charcoal, you just always want to make sure there is a Cool Side and a Hot Side. But I love to cook outside whenever possible.

Back on the grill tonight with SOUP

I made clam chowder. I didn't pics it was very late and dark and drizzling. Not the best photo op.I was holding an umbrella.

    No different than inside.

Sauteed the veggies, added the spuds, broth, brought to a boil and cooked until tender. Then added the cream and heated through, thickened a little by pureeing and breaking up the spuds a bit, then added the clams and cooked until done. Finished with sherry, herbs and served.

I do have a pic of the finished and will post. Just used my stainless pot like I always do. I use that to boil pasta and make mac and cheese in that too.

I boil the pasta, then drain, add back to the pot. Mix flour and butter together to make a paste and add to the pasta. Mix to it is melted and then slowly add milk. Cook until creamy and thick. Toss in the cheese until melted. Move to the indirect heat, add seasoning and cooked smoky bacon and onions, also done on the grill.
Let it cook 10 minutes and serve. Delicious creamy, smoky mac and cheese.
