I'm so excited you guys icon_exclaim.gif 1 wk from today, I'll be in the U.S. for our annual visit & be able to wrap my lovin arms around that little grandson of mine that I only get to see once a yr. He's my new profile icon, btw, & will be 7 yrs old in Jan. ... Siggi & I will go to the U.S. together. We always enter thru Minneapolis & stay a cpl of dys to visit some of my family there. Then Siggi will come back to Iceland after 2 dys for his dialysis treatments while I go on to Oklahoma to spend the rest of the month w/my son, DIL & Bryson. icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif

Here's the best part - Siggi's biggest disappointment was that he wasn't going to be able to see Bryson this yr ... BUT ... We have a big surprise planned for him. My DIL is flying to Minneapolis w/Bryson so he can surprise his Afi (Icelandic for Grandpa) icon_exclaim.gif It's my early Christmas present for Siggi & he'll be so happy to see that little boy icon_exclaim.gif

Little Story - Last yr Bryson told me he didn't want to hurt my feelings, but he loved his Afi more than his Amma. I damn near fell off my chair trying to keep from laughing, but it made me very happy all the same. Gosh, I miss him so.

What a great story!!! He looks adorable and I'm SO happy for you and Siggi! Your hubby will be thrilled!! It's a shame he can't stay longer but he has to take care of his health.

You're in the US for a month? How nice! You can load up on the American groceries that you love!
Yep - Get to Minneapolis on the 12th, fly to Tulsa on the 14th w/my DIL & Bryson & then fly home to Iceland on Oct 11th. Everything is so expensive here, so it's always MAJOR SHOPPING time for me. I buy clothing, shoes, linens, food items that travel well, kitchen stuff, X-Mas presents for all of Siggi's family here & mine in the U.S., etc. I've been working on my "shopping list" for months icon_exclaim.gif I pack light going there (usually w/a mid-size suitcase inside a lrg one), then pack creatively using the 2nd suitcase coming back. 3 times we've had to buy an extra bag to get everything home icon_exclaim.gif rotfl.gif

I like how we're slowly going back to our "real lives" with the icons. It's kind of sad but I'll be doing it soon too! icon_smile.gif

Hhmm...I really don't know .. perhaps my DD would.
She has her account, but she didn't use it yet as I'm posting the recipe for her as well.
My DS made his searches here. Their mother language is German, but they prefere FC than the other big German Recipe Database (kochchef.de). This site looks much more attractive and they know it now! It's only a pity that the sifter is not visible in the first page!
Finally, this is a "family account"!

That is great that you get to see them, I miss my family too. We can't really afford to go visit them because we have to fly in the school holidays so it costs a small fortune. :/

I hope this covers all of the base's that were ask for:

Oh my, the impossible 2 question! These are not 1 and 2 they are both 5 stars all the way and two that I have completely fallen in love with.

This amazing lady knows my coffee weakness's all too well and is my main supplier. Seriously, how could this not be an all time star in my personal sky?

Cinnamon Caramel Coffee #326653 by Baby Kato

Another dyed in the wool favorite is this max flavor dish that is so versatile in ways that it can be used and made with things that I always have on hand.

Black Beans and Rice #386763 by Starrynews

I'm sorry, but I just have to also mention this yumful glass of joy.

Iced Nutty Irishman Coffee Frappe (Non-Alcoholic and Diabetic) #321509 by Mikekey

This team was a basket full of gems. I met and very much liked Tea Girl, Melanie D and Alvina for the first time. They added so very much to the tour both in recipes made and in personality icon_biggrin.gif. I hope that they don't drift too far away when this tour closes.

Capt'n Nif and loof are wonderful gals that were both vital to the team and a real pleasure to spend time with. Elmotoo and awalde were both away on holidays but boy, did they ever make up for lost time once home. I already knew that awalde is a non-stop cooking machine but she's also grand lady. I'm looking forward to getting to know Elmotoo better as we continue to work together in the North Africa/Middle East forum.

My special memory and huge special treat both was welcoming back a "seasoned" friend that has been missing for way too long. twissis was a gift to be welcomed with a happy heart and open arms.

What a very Grand Tour ZWT 8 has been.
