Hi everyone! I haven't posted in here in ages, but I thought I'd stop in. Nice to see some familiar names still posting over here icon_smile.gif

I am trying to eat what I can out of my freezer, to make room for prepping some OAMC type meals in there. I have a lot of meat that needs to get used up!

Anyway, I pick a few meals to make during the week, and then just check off these recipes as they get made. My meals aren't fixed on specific days, I just try to get each dish made that I bought ingredients for.

Meal #1: Whole Grain Pasta, meat sauce (just whatever sauce I have in the pantry, doctored up with some lean ground beef from the freezer), with some garlic bread and a side salad

Meal #2: Steak Bites with Another Mock Mashed Potatoes (mashed Cauliflower)-low Carb, maybe some carrots too

Meal #3 Asian Dumplings night (in the freezer, premade)

Meal #4: Steaks with Balsamic Glaze, plus a marinated chicken breast for my non steak eating bf, with broccoli and a side salad

    Meal #5: Pizza night

Meal #6: leftovers night or soup + sandwiches

Meal #7: eat out or breakfast for dinner (Donnalee's Birthday Quiche), I will like;y make the quiche regardless and serve it for breakfast if we decide to eat out, with fruit salad

Dessert: Boyfriend Cookies (these have a bunch of chocolate candies mixed into the dough), plus possibly a cake or pie
    Bread: glazed honey wheat rolls[/url]

    Glad you stopped by HF,

You have a great plan. I do plan each day ... however, like you, as long as I have the stuff planned or to make; I can change up the days. I may run late doing errands or something and I can switch the meals around.

Great plan; I love steak bites, sound yummy!!

    Hi,

Lots going on out there! Welcome back to all.

Sat – no real dinner; We had a substantial lunch with our Taiwanese student and friends at a particular restaurant...we got to eat things not officially on the menu since we were with people 'in the know.' Definitely got to broaden our experiences. In the evening, we took them all to a local rodeo (none of us had ever been), with bull-riding and various other activities.

Sun – Celebrating the 'first of August' (Swiss National Day) with in-laws and many others. This had to be postponed from earlier in the month because of various travel. Menu is brats (and probably chicken) on the grill plus misc cookout sides.

Mon – wraps with canned salmon and spinach leaves (with tortillas) and frozen veg

Tue – A Simple Chicken Satay with snow peas and brown rice

Wed – either steak or out for DH b'day

Thu – pizza (Beth's Pizza Crust) toppings as for Tuscan Chicken Sandwich (but green instead of red onions)

Fri – Shanghai Noodles with peas and egg

Hello my friends!! Still have out of town company for a few more days, then life will settle down a bit! I hope!!!!
Last week was my bday and my sons and grandsons and stepdaughter cooked a great meal for me. So special!

Here's this week. There are still holes in it, but I will fill with the Zaar World Tour recipes!

Saturday - Bev's Macaroni and Cheese, BBQ Chicken Sandwiches, Marvelous Broccoli Salad!, Charred Onion Slivers

Sunday - this is open, cuz I don't know how many for dinner. Maybe just leftovers, or we'll throw something on the grill.

Monday - company leaves! Easy Beef Goulash in the Crock Pot with noodles and vegies

Tuesday - open for a ZWT meal

Wednesday - CHICKEN TANDOORI (I hope to make this Mickey!), Mango Pilaf

Thursday - Peppercorn Salisbury Steak Deluxe with mashed potatoes and green peas

Friday - have banquet at our church.

Hey Charmie--happy belated b'day. Love your menu-especially the Peppercorn Salisbury Steak. Must try that one soon.
