I am allergic to mustard and it seems to be in every salad dressing....
Does any body have any substitutions for mustard in homemade salad dressing ?

The main role of mustard is to be an emulsifier - to keep the dressing from separating. If you are willing to shake your dressing before using, you can just omit it.

Egg yolks serve a similar function, but are not used so commonly plus there is the salmonella factor.

I'm not sure what else acts as an emulsifier, will see if I can figure it out.

Otherwise, there are something like 2500 great salad dressing recipes in the db that don't contain mustard: LINK
