I belong to one and get 2 bottles every month. The one I belong is called best deal wine selection and is the most economical one offered by one of my favorite wine stores locally. It's lots of fun trying what they offer and prices are normally about 1/3 off and if you like the wines you can order however amount you like. I usually read through other offerings with this store such as premium wine wine club, signature red wine club, Italian premium wine club, etc and order what catches my fancy.
Any of you belong to wine clubs?

I'm not in one either, but I don't believe I know the club of which you speak! I, like Mama, would like to learn more! how about it?

The wine clubs I belong is through K&L Wine - they have their shops in California but also web presence for other states. I really like their selections and eagerly wait for 2 bottles every month. Check them out - really good. I feel very fortunate that I have many places I can purchase wine locally living in Northern CA. Just recently I purchased really knock-out inexpensive French rose from Cost Plus. Not a long finish, but certainly great for sipping or with grilled foods. The cost of less than $10 is amazing for this calibre of wine.

Most of the time you would see that these clubs offer different schemes to attract people. But this is really good to have this offer of havingĀ 6 wines for just $41.94 . I hope the wine must be good which will make the offer worth.

When I lived in California I loved going to local big liquor barn type of stores - you'd fine interesting little wines from wineries you don't hear of outside of California. When I visited my sister when she lived in Tucson, Cost Plus was the only place I could find reasonably priced everyday wine. My folks belonged to a wine club for a short time, but had to buy a case at a time. These are people who kept opened wine bottles in the liquor cabinet for months, without realizing that they turned to vinegar! So that little glass of wine "for your health" was quite a surprise! I got rid of the open bottles, and just had them keep it in the fridge, since they did not use a lot.
Anyway, for a long time we could not get wine shipped to us in Illinois. It's permitted now, but I really like going into the wine shops and looking at interesting things. I was once too early for a concert at Ravinia, dropped into a little wine shop and found some very interesting South African wines to try. Looking for interesting wines is one of the few shopping things I try to do while travelling.
