I wonder if anyone else does this....
When Ladies at work have parties....Pampered Chef...Tupperware etc etc I always buy something...needed or not icon_redface.gif

Last week looking for something in my 'tupperware' cabinet I found

I bought it from Pampered chef....and forgot all about it!

On the sides of the 'jar' are recipes....I tossed together the French Dressing....it was easy and really delicious!!
I have since made the Caesar and the Oriental recipe with great results!
I really like it....to think I've probably had it for 1+ year and forgot all about it icon_redface.gif

I have not been to one of those in probably 10 years - the ladies where I work don't do them. One of the neighbors had a PAmpered Chef party and I bought something, don't remember what. A quiche pan? But I do buy gadgets of various types, and put them away without even opening the boxes - then I run across them again after looking for something else. I am pathetic.

I know what you mean.... I think every kitchen has a randoms drawer. Full of utensils and gadgets. If it makes you fell better, i have never used my spiral vegetable cutter. And my electric wok spent 4 years in its box.

You are NOT alone! I hate home parties for two simple reasons:

    1. I always feel obligated to buy something
    2. I always WANT to buy something (if it's anything to do with cooking or stamping)

I have a wooden citrus reamer that seen more action in 4 months of cooking school than it has the past 10 1/2 years. But I still keep it fairly handy.

Dont do parties either. Did stop at 2 thrift shops on the way home from work today. Spent $1.49 at one for a mini cupcake/muffin pan. My coffee maker fried the wires a week ago so I was looking for one as the budget is pretty tight right now. Found a Bunn -- bout $100.00 new for $11.39. Haven't made coffee yet in it but I ran some vinegar and water through it and some plain water to rinse. Seems to run perfectly! Interesting how many of those papmpered chef brands you see at the thrift stores.

Stampin' Up is what I collect. If you are willing to sell any of your sets, let me know.

I try not to go to the parties but will if invited. I love Pampered Chef so I'm a sucker for them. I to feel obligated, but don't have much trouble finding something I just HAVE to have - then forgettin about it while it gathers dust in the closet. DH calls it my "Gadget Graveyard"

I'm a PC junkie too, Bonnie. I can still do some damage with Tupperware, but it's mostly just dry storage containers. icon_smile.gif

Oh me too and I THINK I could be pretty bad with Princess House but haven't seen any of that in a looooong time so don't even know if they still make it As to Tupperware, great for containers but I've been finding ones cheaper and just as good on the market.

Princess House is still alive, but I haven't heard of anyone hosting a party for it in years.
I have a few of their glass serving pieces, but rarely use them.
I like the large rectangle Tupperware containers for my flours and sugars. But for leftover storage I'm in love with the Rubbermaid hard plastic (BPA free) containers.

I love tupperware, too, but find that the cheaper plastic containers, for 1 do not have a life time warranty like tupperware does and it also gets old and breaks.
