Springform pan recommendation?

I think it's about time I buy a springform pan. Is a 9" round springform pan standard size? I've never used one before so your help and guidance are greatly appreciated.




*Also-if you want to share some of your posted recipes for me that require a springform pan be sure they are relatively simple. I would prefer recipes with no chocolate or limited amount of chocolate (I get very sick from it!) and that are made from scratch (no cake/pudding mixes, Cool Whip,etc.).

I would say that a 9-inch springform pan is average size for home use. This recipe, Basic (Cream Cheese) Cheesecake is for a 9-inch springform pan.

You can also use a springform pan for other things besides cheesecakes. I have used my springforms for layer cakes, tiramisu, large quiches, large deep dish pies, ice cream cakes, and just about anything that would benefit from being baked in a pan with removable sides.

I use a 9" and Paula Deen's Pumpkin Cheesecake is out of this world good. It has taken the place of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. It is on the foodnetwork.com website.

Oooh, I went and looked at Paula's recipe...wow!

As soon as the weather starts getting cooler here at the end of September or so I am definitely purchasing a springform pan!
