I've completed my Pick-A-Pepper Challenge! I've posted in the Challenge thread as well.....do I need to post in the Spain Portugal thread as well?

Breezermom, for the Pick a Pepper challenge, you will only need to post the recipe review in the challenge thread, and not in the Spain/Portugal thread.

I have made and reviewed Pearl Onion Tapas, #483645 by Pesto Lover for the Spain/Portugal region.

I have also made and reviewed Warm Avocado Salsa, #382098 by smellyvegetarian for the Pick a Pepper challenge.

Off now to post this in their respective threads.

Has anyone else had trouble trying to change their avatar to the team avatar? I removed the X, and I tried cutting and pasting the address from pg 1 into the box (both with and without the image codes), but however I try it keeps giving me some message saying "Whoops! You need to choose an image" icon_confused.gif . Not sure what else to try... ?

    icon_biggrin.gif

In order to add the avatar, you need to first save it as a photo (.jpg) to your computer since you can only load a photo for your picture.

Once you do that, it's just a matter of selecting it from your computer.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks FN, that helps a lot! I didn't even think of that, duh! icon_redface.gif

For the ZWT 8 ~ A French Love Affair Challenge I've selected:

Peppered Lavender Beef #457488 by Annacia -- cross your fingers, it's in the crock right now...smells heavenly, I just hope I do Annacia's recipe justice with my changes.

Looks like you ate well tonight!

Sorry to say, I'll have to back off the cooking a bit....work calls and no time to cook....maybe one recipe every other day unless I'm inspired. Meeting early tomorrow with the owners of the business at 6:30 am so I'm done for the night.

Did I read correctly that we only have 8 days left for round 1?! icon_eek.gif I haven't even had a chance to look through the All Players Cookbooks!!! I planned to do that tomorrow. That doesn' leave me with much time for cooking the tar (still love that expression Ma Field!) outta recipes. We just got home from our trip and I'm doing a mini trip to the grocery to get things to hold us over for today only. I plan to buy ingredients for my Pick A Pepper Challenge and do that tonight at least. I'll go thru recipes tomorrow and make a menu plan and then shop. Is this a shorter span of time for a round than usual? Or...do I just feel that way because I've been gone? Eep! I'm caught up with our thread...just love your posts....we have such a fun group of people..and funny!! Don't have time to respond individually. I'll have to see if I can get the avatar loaded for my icon...either tonight or tomorrow. Go team go!!!

P.S. Melissa, I'm not the best at doing stories/non-cooking challenges as per your question earlier. I'd rather cook, cook, cook! (That is when I can have time to get going on that icon_lol.gif ). However, I will always be willing to do whatever is needed for our team if/when something is needed!

I don't know if it's just because I didn't have much time this weekend for tour stuff or not, but this round feels crazy-short to me, too. No worries about the challenges. I was still planning on doing at least one more myself, but I was waiting to see if the less-present members might want to take a stab at something. It's tough when there's too many challenges at one time that are the storytelling ones.

Looks like there's lots of good cooking going on here! drool.gif

Well, I've officially kicked off ZWT8 for myself with French Dream #190689 by Charlotte J for my required French recipe

Hoping to get to about 12 other French recipes, and at least 3 or 4 Spain/Portugal ones (more if I get the time to poke through the cookbook again in the next day or two).

I think I'm gonna finish the pg 1 editing tomorrow, because my eyes are starting to cross.

    G'night! wave.gif icon_biggrin.gif

I agree with everything you just said!

I've been waiting to see if some of our team (who don't get the computer time to check in as much) wanted to do any of the still open challenges before jumping into another.

Okay...much overdue...I'm headed to the All Players cookbooks to menu plan. icon_biggrin.gif
