Changes?

I used to be able to click 'Cookbooks' and get to my main cookbook there.

Now I need to click my name in order to bring up my own cookbooks then click again on my listed cook book.

Why the change? It took me a good 10 minutes to even figure out that I had to click on my own name to find my recipes and things rather than the easy layout from before.

I guess I am just saying that it takes a good 3-4 clicks where before there was a much simpler path to get to my cookbook. (and when I say cookbook, I am meaning my 'saved' recipes (from other people) here.)

Any suggestions on where and how I can simplify this? Or am I just confused on what has changed?

You don't need to click your name - just hover your cursor over the box immediately to the right of your icon and all of your personal information will appear in one box - including all of your cookbooks.

I realize that this is a change, we did not know about it, but having all of your information in one place is, I think, an advantage. There are some things I personally don't care for, but I recognize that at least some of that is because I'm used to how things were.

Duonyte's right. Hover your cursor over the blue down arrow in the upper right corner of the page.

To make your recipes, cookbooks and menus easier to find, all your stuff has been consolidated into a new "My Food.com" menu, which will be accessible from the drop-down menu next to your username in the top corner of every page. You'll be able to scroll through all of your cookbooks and menus, and quickly access recipes, reviews, photos and more from that one centralized spot.

I didn't even realize that that was an arrow on that. :S I feel quite stupid now.

The layout it quite attractive, but really is kinda.. cluttered with loads of things I won't even bother using. Even finding the forum here doesn't seem as easy. (But that could be because I don't use it that often either, so finding it is kinda a pill.)

But thank you. I really appreciate it. I have been a member here for a good long while.. way back. lol So I love simplicity.

Gimme a way to search recipes, ability to comment and rate and I am happy as a lark. Everything else is great, but is fluff to me. Love the site. Even with the changes I will keep coming back as I just love this site. And now that I can find my book easily, that is all that matters to me.

The only thing I am not really liking is when they changed the 'save recipe' thing. It is now 2 step, where in my opinion it should be one for ease. However I can deal.

Again, Thanks! I was so disheartened. But now that I know how to navigate in a single click I am much happier!

Save recipe has not changed, so I am not sure what you are referring to , but in any event I am glad you have what you need.
