Does anyone have a good recipe for seafood stromboli? I attempted to make this once and the bottom became very soggy. Plus I made the sauce up myself without any instruction. So basically i pieced it together and the results lacked. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Wow, you have found and untapped recipe, there are no seafood stromboli recipes posted, what kind of sauce does it usually have?

It's a white creamy sauce like Alfredo. It's very cheesy inside and maybe some garlic and butter. I'm not exactly sure. I used to get this at my favorite restaurant , and now they've closed. I've searched all over the internet, and can find any kind of Stromboli except the seafood one.

WoW!! Have you had any luck? I came across this post today, and I too have been looking for a very specific seafood stromboli recipe for about 7 YEARS! There was a restaurant in Altoona Pennsylvania, where I used to live called Gregs pizza that made them. They were much like you described, and were wonderful. Ive had other places make me a seafood stromboli, but it was no where near the same, this one had a white type sauce, and was not dry. I specifically remember the baby shrimp. I have tried to recreate the boli several times, but I am missing something in the sauce. Glad to see your post, I was beginning to think I imagined 5 years of those awesome strombolis when I lived there.

I found this shrimp stromboli recipe, but it does not have the sauce you describe,

This one uses canned tuna and alfredo sauce, and I am sure you could substitute different kind of seafood,

I'm a little late to the scene, but this is the only one I have made and I have looked but I can't find it.
All I can tell you is what it had.
A alfredo based sauce, shrimp, crab, spinach, monterey jack cheese, onion, tomato, white wine.
It was rich tomato alfredo sauce with a little white wine simmered until thick. Added baby shrimp and crab meat.
Layer spinach on the dough, then the cheese, seafood sauce and more spinach and cheese. Fold and bake.
It is the only one I made with seafood and it was very good. Personally, I would left out the tomatoes and maybe used it as a garnish.
I wasn't thrilled, but everyone loved it.
