    Beef Stroganoff

There is a missing amount for the tomato paste that is listed in the recipe steps. Any guesses on how much I should use? I'm going to try 1 Tbsp and go from there, I guess. Wish me luck!

I'm thinking that may mean the Worcestershire sauce, which isn't listed in the directions.

I'd try contacting the contributor, as both ingredients need clarification. Use the Contact This Chef link to the right of their name or Send Message link on their personal page. Or, just go for it. I think a tablespoon sounds good.

I did send a message but haven't heard back and I was in the middle of making it once I realized the ingredients were missing and/or extra.

I wound up adding about a half of small can of tomato paste (2 Tbsp maybe) and I also added the Worcestershire sauce and a splash of red wine. It wasn't too bad.

I think next time, I will brown the beef only slightly then follow the rest of the recipe up until it suggests adding the sour cream. I will then add the beef back to the pan, turn the heat to Low and simmer it for an hour or so to slow cook the beef and let it soak up some of that flavor. After that is finished I will add the sour cream and toss it with the pasta.

Either way, I am hoping that the poster will update the incorrect info so other people can make and enjoy it!
