    Need recipes for gluten/soy/dairy allergies

I recently discovered several food allergies have been contributing to my IBS. I now must avoid high gluten items, soy, artificial sweeteners, and pasteurized milk products. I began making changes already and it seems to be very difficult for reasons such as soy is a substitute for dairy. I need to know more about what foods are ok and what foods aren't. I love chocolate and cheese more than any other food so I want to find ways to enjoy them along with other great foods without hurting my stomach. Any recipes are welcome!

Take a look at some of these, Candi:

As for your allergies, I've seen coconut milk and rice milk in the dairy case. I bet you could make terrific desserts with those items instead of real milk or soy milk.

Hi Candi, Welcome to Special Diets!

Molly has found some recipes for you to take a look at so I went ahead and looked for some information that might help also. This article Finding the Right Diet for IBS from WebMD has some diet tips that might be helpful.

They recommended Rice and Coconut Milk. I use a lot of Almond Milk but I don't know much about it other than it is healthier than regular milk. I am not really familiar with a gluten free diet, actually the only diets I know anything about are those that help you to lose weight. Welcome to the forum though and someone might be able to help you more.

Thanks! My husband is lactose intolerant so I've been trying different types of milk for awhile. I discovered organic rice milk at Costco and like it almost as much as cow milk!

Check out my recipes as we don't consume those nasties either.

Just know not every single one of my recipes fit the diet but the majority you will find do if they are not posted for a tag game which is noted in the introductions.

Sorry to tell you but I think chocolate and cheese are out. I have found there are gluten free, soy free, dairy free chocolate chips from the brand Live Free I think.
