This website really sucks; I have over 1000 recipes saved and am trying to go thru them to plan my holiday weekend. No can-do. I tried going thru my reviews to see what I can make from there, and no can-do. Hell with it, I'll find stuff on allrecipes to make instead. They don't have any problems, their site works as expected.. likely because they have a QA department who works on trying to break new code before they release it.. not food.com.. once a new release is implemented, we're stuck with whatever bugs they've introduced and us consumers always get the sappy 'sorry, we'll work on that in the next release' canned response. what a horrible operation.

To make sure our pages load as quickly as possible, that our site remains online at all times, and reduce spammers access, the team decided to reduce the number of search results that we return to 20 pages, rather than the unlimited number of results we used to return. If you want to see more than the top 20 pages of recipes, just refine your search using either our search results filter or our advanced Recipe Sifter tool, and you'll be able to explore every corner of the Food.com recipe collection. We do, however, understand your concern and are working on a fix. We have requested the pagination limitation be removed for registered users. This is going to be scheduled for our upcoming release in June.

Regrettably, this fix was pushed back due to an issue in the last release. However, we hope to have this fix implemented in the next release mid July. I'll keep you posted if this changes.

As Liza said in the other thread, we know this is SUPER frustrating but as you know a release to the site takes a lot of time and coordinating to get out. We PROMISE this is in our next release in July. Please bear with us these next few weeks.

    We appreciate your patience!

It's a shame the IT team can't do a major backup before rolling out fixes, so if the fix does more harm than good, they could revert back to the backup before the change was made!

If only it was that easy. Multiple patches are implemented within a release so it's a little more complicated. At the time, we felt that this change was a good decision but hindsight is always 20/20. However, we can't just undo a release. Therefore, are having to make changes in the upcoming.

Impatiently waiting for it to happen and btw any idea when we will have a decent search engine for reviews for with the 20 page limit that is even harder to search someones reviews and can become extremely frustrating.

If you have some idea of what you are looking for - for example, pork dishes amongst the reviews, if you type "pork" into the Search This Set bar, it will search all the reviews not just the 20 pages worth. It's not perfect, but it can help in some situations to winnow things down a bit.

I know but the problem here is that the word has to be in the title of the recipe which makes it frustrating and very time consuming.

The "solution" keeps on getting put on the back burner.
