One of my recipes has two reviews on it. One is terrific and the most recent is terrible.

Would anybody be willing to give it a try and let me know precisely what's wrong with it or what I could do to make the directions clearer?

Molly, I didn't make it, but I can get a good impression of a recipe by reading it. Also, there are the great photos one person posted. Looks delicious.

I cannot see anything wrong with the recipe. I myself might add more vanilla, but that's a minor thing.

I haven't made this recipe, but I've made similar recipes.

I think the negative reviewer was probably expecting more of a "chocolate" pie. The two tablespoons of cocoa in this recipe will give it a brown color, but there won't be much chocolate flavor.

I don't particularly care for German chocolate cake for this exact reason - it doesn't really seem like chocolate cake to me. I like a strong, dominant chocolate flavor.

I'd consider the second review a matter of personal taste.
